Reaching out to a Patient

As one of our volunteers was leaving clinic she saw a young woman that had been at our clinic, sitting on the curb and seemed to be huddled and quiet. Our volunteer stopped to talk with this young woman to see if she was waiting for a ride. She was waiting for a ride so our volunteer asked if she could wait with her. As they waited about 20 minutes together our volunteer discovered that this young woman had been raped when she was 15 and was very scared. Her ride finally came and she thanked our volunteer for waiting with her. This is a story of a volunteer reaching out past the walls of CWAH. These stories touch all of us and are a reminder of how much you all give to our CWAH patients.
